Apple Orchard & Pumpkin Patch

A couple weeks ago Zackary and I went on a field trip with his preschool class to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch.  Here are the highlights:

I made several attempts to get a good picture of him sitting on a pumpkin but he was being a little stinker!!  At least he was wearing orange!!

A Day in the Life with Zackary

I feel like I'm going to forget the things Zackary says and does, so here are a few recent things that I'd like to remember:

According to Zack "Z starts with Zackary" (instead of the other way around).

We rarely go to Buffalo Wild Wings but we went on Wednesday night and it was Family night. This means the kids meals are $1.99 (great deal) and there is a clown walking around making balloon animals. When Zackary was younger he wasn't a fan of clowns but this time it went better. The clown held up three fingers on one hand and asked Zackary if that is how old he was? He said "no", and held up two fingers on one hand and one on the other!

We have a lot of fun discussions in the car. We recently saw a very colorful sign outside a pediatrician's office that had children on it. Zackary said "the little boy has brown hair like me". Then he informed me I had "white hair". I said "isn't mama's hair brown like yours?" Very seriously he said, "No, white". I just laughed and dropped the subject!

I was so excited when we got our new vehicle because it had a little mirror so I could see my back seat passenger. But Zackary complains when I put it down and says "don't look at me"! I even tried putting it down one day before I picked him up and he noticed as soon as he got in!

Zackary always wants to be a helper. He is tall enough to turn on almost every lamp and light switch in the house. We were trying to get ready to go to Wal-Mart last night and he was going around turning on all the lights. But he also knows how to turn them off and after asking him twice, he finally did it! This was SO helpful.

We went to a dinner at camp on Saturday night and one of Zackary's preschool teachers and her husband were also there.  She was so excited to tell me that in class on Thursday her and a few children were sitting the table doing a project.  Apparently Zackary needed some attention because she heard him say "hello".   Even though we were a bit embarrassed she was laughing and assured me it was okay!

And one of my favorites is "I smell something in my nose"!
