Happy Again

Our family has had a challenging health week. It all started last Sunday when Zackary started with an intestinal virus which created A LOT of poopy diapers and poppy laundry! Then Paul got sick on Tuesday night and was home sick for the rest of the week. I was very thankful for my parents help this week which enabled me to work all week. By Thursday Zackary was feeling better and back to his happy disposition. Paul has nicknamed him "scooter", he manages to get where he wants to go on his butt and he does it in such a way that you don't really see him moving. He isn't crawling forward yet but he pivots really well on his tummy and crawls backward.

Our Weekend

Mommy hasn't done very well at taking pictures lately but here are a couple from this weekend. This is my serious boy!
Grandma Joyce came this afternoon to spend the night, she is flying back to California tomorrow morning.

Our Growing Boy

Lately it seems like Zackary is becoming more like a little boy than a baby. Here are a few items of interest:
  • We bought his next car seat because he has outgrown his infant carrier.
  • Zackary is wearing size 12-18 months with just a little extra length and size 24 month onesies fit the best!
  • He is clapping his hands and he's so excited about it!
  • He sits really well now and reaches for toys without the fear of tipping over!
  • He is succesfully crawling backward and manages to pivot around to get where he wants to go. It won't be long until he learns to crawl forward.
  • Over the past week or so Zackary decided he doesn't like to be left alone in a room and quickly cries real tears if he is!
  • He says "Da Da" but we're still trying to teach him who Daddy really is!
  • He doesn't always like to take his bottle but he loves anything that comes on a spoon!
Joshua & Elizabeth came over to play.

He successfully crawled himself into the corner! He loved the feel of the tile in front of the fireplace, he had never felt it before.
